The Nakshatra is the oldest mentioned constellation in Indian astrology from the Rig Veda, which goes back to more than 5,000 years ago. The Nakshatras are known as Lunar mansions. Each Nakshatra is a constellation of the sky taking up the area of 13'20". The Moon stays in one Nakshatra for approximately one day, then moves onto the next.
