Sacred Rudraksha
Genuine Nepali and Java Rudraksha beads
Rudraksha Jabal Upanishad.
Let all my body parts grow and be healthy, speech, breath, eyes, ears, and all organs should develope to full potention. All upanishads are supreme God like (Brahmaswaroop). Neither I should feel separated from Brahma nor Brahma may let me away. This way by feeling close to the Atma (soul) let me be blessed by the Dharma as narrated in Upanishad. All teachings of Upanishad Dharma may assimilate within me Om Shantih Shantih Shantih.
Once upon a time Bhusanda asked Kalagni Rudra “How Rudraksha originated? What are the advantages of wearing it?”
Kalagni Rudra replied “To kill demon Tripurasur I closed my eyes (in meditation). As a result of this, the water (tears) which fill from my eyes on the earth converted to Rudraksha trees. As obliged for welfare & all, I have to state that even taking the name “Rudraksha” blesses the speaker with results equivalent of donating ten cows. By seeing and touching Rudraksha, the benefits are doubled. (In fact) I have no stamina to explain further (about benefits). In this regard the following are the verses.
Q : Where are these found? What are their names? Why people wear them? How many facets they have? How and by which mantras they are to be worn?
Ans : By keeping the eyes open for one thousand divine years, during the meditation, some water drops fell on the earth. These drops (tears) converted to great Rudraksha trees and the devotees became blessed by wearing these Rudraksha, sins committed day and night get absolved.
By looking at Rudraksha it gives hundred thousand times benefits and by wearing hundred lac (koti) times.
The wearer gets not hundred lac (koti) times but hundred koti (arab) times. By wearing and doing japam on rudraksha mala the benefit are thousand lac-koti times and lac-koti in hundred multiple times, respectively.
Rudraksha of amla size is the best. The berry size is medium. The size of a gram is lowest. Now I explain further. By Lord’s order these divine beads got classified as Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaisya and Shudra (Division of castes according to work nature). Brahmins should wear white, kshatriya red, vaisya yellow and shudras black. Beads of equal size, round, smooth, strong (hard), big and thorny are considered auspicious.
Those eaten by insects, broken or damaged without thorns, infested with insects and which do not appear good are the six types which are unauspicious (and should not be worn). If rudraksha has a natural hole at the appropriate place then it is the best. If the hold is made by force then it is medium quality rudraksha. The equal size, smooth, hard and strong rudraksha should be strung using silk thread and worn.
Rudraksha should be good in appearance, sober and equal in size. The bead lines should appear like gold lines on a pumice stone (kasauti). Such rudraksha is better and only such a mala should be worn by
Shiva devotees. One rudraksha on the tuft of hair (crown) and thirty around the head should be worn. Thirty-six around neck, sixteen each on the arms, twelve on each wrist and fifteen on the shoulder should be worn.
A mala of one hundred eight should be worn like the sacred thread (yagnopaveet). Two round, three round, five round or seven round rudraksha mala should be used around throat. Rudraksha should be
used as a crown over head, like ear-rings (kindal) on eas and also like a rosary around ear.
Rudraksha should be used continuously while sleeping or awake around arms and waist in the form of threaded rosary. Three hundred Rudraksha are inauspicious, five hundred medium and one thousand the best for wearing.
Rudraksha should be worn by chanting Ishana mantra over the head, Tatpurush mantra over the throat and Aghor mantra over the heart. The intelligent one will use rudraksha on both the hands chanting Aghor mantra. Rudraksha beads should be strung and sanctified (blessed) by a to ksha fifty letters (of the sanskrit language), then by chanting panchakshari mantra (Namah Shivaya) the mala should be blessed. Then by chanting seed mantras the beads should get invoked (for its divine powers) and then in three, five or seven rounds may be worn around the neck. Bhusund asked. Lord Kalagni Rudra again — what are the different properties of rudraksha according to different properties of rudraksha according to different facets (mukhis)? I want to know the
powers of different facets to remove the inquspicous and to gain fruit ful results.
(Kalagni Rudra replies) There is a shloka (verse) about this:

Rudraksha wearer becomes free from all sins if rudraksha are worn on any eclipse day, meeting point of day & night, at the time of solar cycle: ayanchange (Uttarayan, Dakshinayan), dark moon day or fal moon day, the last day of lunar month. The main body part of rudraksha bead is considered as Vishnu, the bottom part (where the mukhs end) as
Brahma and the top part (from where the mukhs originale) as Shiva.
On all its points reside various devas. Sonatkumar then asked Lord Kalagni... Rudra O Lord! please tell us the method for wearing rudraksha. At that time (several rishis) like Nidadh, Sadbharat, Dattateya, Katyayan, Bharadwaj, Kapil, Vashishtha, Pippalad etc., sat all round Lord Kalagni Rudra and when asked by Lord Kalagni Rudra why they are here told that we all want to hear the rudraksha wearing procedure.
Then Kalgni Rudra said... Due to its origin from Rudra’s eyes the name Rudraksha is known in the entire universe. At the time of ending the universe Lord Shiva used to slightly open and close the eyes (open for shortime and close for most of the time).
Rudraksha has produced from such eyes. The rudraksha properly of rudraksha is proven. If the word rudraksha is spoken hundred times at
gives benefit euqal to donating ten cows. The same rudraksha is also called “Bhasma Jyoti” rudraksha.
If such a rudraksha is touched by hand and worn it gives benefit equal to two thousand cow donation. The same rudraksha if worn on the ears give benefit equal to donating eleven thousand cows and the wearer gets the form of eleventh rudra. Such a rudraksha if worn on forehead gives fruits equal to that of donating hundred lac cows. Out of all the places wearing on the ear is most fruitful and cannot be discribed.
(Rudraksha desciption ends here)
