The ten faced bead represents Lord Vishnu the protector. The bead is ideal as a protector from harm and evil eye. This bead is also blessed by Yamraj the God of Death as well as Dashdigpal the controller and guardian of all directions.

Dasha mukhi is mentioned in various ancient scriptures such as the Srimaddevibhagat (11thSkand) Chapter 4 part 21 where it mentions; ‘Ten Mukhi Rudraksha is Vishnu and removes all tears and troubles due to planets, evil powers and snakes. ’In Rudrakshajabalopanisad: Kalagni Rudra replied: ‘A Rudraksha with ten faces is virtually Yamadeva (Lord of Death). By seeing and wearing it one attains eternal peace. ’In Mantramaharnava Lord Siva said: ‘A Rudraksha with ten faces is General of an army and is also Visnu himself. It sublimates the malefic effects of planets, evil powers, eliminates snakes.‘
